O'Brien Departures CCSSO starts search for new leader Chris Minnich will step down as executive director of the $37M-revenue Council of Chief State School Officers on Jan. 12, 2018, to become CEO of NWEA, a student assessment organization in Portland, Ore. Minnich joined CCSSO in 2008 as part of its standards program and became executive director in 2012. He previously worked at the publisher Harcourt.
